Everything you’ve written here is accurate, with one major caveat: you’re assuming that people have equitable access to wealth and resources. Much/most complex trauma is linked to poverty and its adjacent forces (racialization, cultural genocide, etc.), so to conclude by suggesting therapy (and to buy your book) is a bit disingenuous. The largest population with CPTSD can’t access private clinicians, and the logistics of survival make something like reading (esp. digitally) near-impossible. Do you offer low-barrier services? Do you engage in meaningful wealth redistribution? If not, you’re reinforcing the problem.
