Fun fact: I got kicked out of my PhD for using substances 🙃🙃🙃 Also though, I ended up writing a book (forthcoming) that turned out to be everything I needed to say without the constraints of a diss. Indie publishers are way cooler than academic presses anyway, so…I also really appreciate your perspectives and general no-nonsense approach to things. As you may have discerned, I struggle with conventional addiction/recovery narratives (like, a lot), so that I enjoy yours is a big compliment!
